Storage
Keep ambient in a cool, dry place. Fresh for seven days from bake. The date is on every bag. Do not refrigerate; it stales the crumb faster than the counter does.
Suitable for freezing. Freeze on the day of delivery, defrost at room temperature in the bag, and use within a day of defrosting.
Cases stack four high, no more. The blocks crush and the join tears badly under weight.
FAQs & handling guide
Keep it soft
Our buns do not contain artificial preservatives, so how you store and reheat them matters more than it would with a supermarket roll.
How do I keep my pav soft?
Store them in an airtight bag at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate. The fridge accelerates staling faster than the counter does. Fresh for seven days from the bake date printed on the bag.
Can I freeze it?
Yes. Freeze on the day of delivery, in the bag, and it holds for two months. Defrost at room temperature still bagged, then use within a day. Do not refreeze a defrosted block.
Best way to reheat?
For cloud-like softness, wrap the pav block in a damp paper towel and microwave for 10–12 seconds. For street-style, slice horizontally, melt a generous cube of butter on a hot tawa and press the pav down until golden and slightly crisp.
Do you supply wholesale?
That is all we do. We partner with cafés, food trucks, hotels and restaurants, with daily morning deliveries of bulk ladi blocks tailored to commercial kitchen specifications. We do not sell to the public.
Is it really eggless?
Yes, and there is no egg anywhere in the bakery recipe. It is a standing rule, not a variant we run on request. Made in a kitchen that also handles egg and sesame.
Can you match a size we already use?
Usually. Send us the bun weight and the block layout you are working to and we will bake a sample against it. Allow a week for the first batch.
What is the minimum order?
Six cases. Bespoke sizes carry a higher minimum. We will tell you what it is when you enquire.
How long does an order take to start?
Samples go out within a few days of your enquiry. Once you are happy, a standing order can start on the next delivery run.
